ARCTICdeco.com: A Steamy AffairI wanted to quickly share with ya’ll one of my favorite little household contraptions. It’s one of those things that makes my life infinitely easier as it prevents me from having to do a chore I least enjoy – by making it slightly more enjoyable. It’s My Little Steamer® Go Mini Hand Steamer! No one likes ironing. Even my fellow OCD friends don’t enjoy ironing. It’s tedious and I ALWAYS end up with scars (I burn pretty easily). So I was very excited when I came across this handy little guy a few months back at Bed Bath & Beyond. It’s one of the better rated hand-held steamers on the market, and the best thing: it’s only $25.00! I know! You need to go out and get one now.

So why is it just so darn wonderful you may ask? Well, it’s great for clothing of course – I only have a handful of clothing items that absolutely CANNOT be worn without ironing them first, so inevitably, I never end up wearing them (*sigh). That is, until I got my steamer! It takes about 15 seconds to go from wrinkled to store-pressed – so now I can wear anything (except crop tops and Hammer pants. That’s just wrong).

It’s also super handy for other things like steaming out drapes, like these West Elm drapes I recently installed in our living and dining room.

Drapes are the WORST to iron because they’re so long and by the time you iron one end the other end pools on the floor, gets trampled, tripped on, and wrinkled all over again. With My Little Steamer, I was able to install them all first and steam them later. No ironing board, no burnt thumbs, no extra work required!

Additionally, unlike other larger home-steaming machines, this guy only takes about 45 seconds to go from cold tap water to bubbling/steaminess, so it’s great for when you’re on the go or travelling and don’t have tones of time to press a pile of clothes.

So there you have it. Now go out and have your own steamy affair…then come back and tell me how much you enjoyed it.
